Connect Youth Ministry

Welcome to CCOC’s youth group! We’re glad you’re here.

Our youth ministry is a place where students are invited to know God for themselves. We ask them to not simply borrow faith from their parents, caregivers or leaders, but to build a real relationship with the Lord on their own and with each other. Our desire is to see our young people develop a faith that can hold up in real life (which can be hard and messy) and learn how to trust Him with honest questions, struggles, and growth.

We believe students need both their own space and a strong connection to the larger church body. That means creating an environment where they are known and welcomed into the whole-church worship experience, but also are provided a space to delve into age-specific lessons, events, and fellowship opportunities. Our youth are a valuable part of the whole church family who are called to grow together, learn together, and lean on one another.

At CCOC We care about truth, belonging, and spiritual depth. We want our students to have room to ask hard questions, wrestle with what they believe, and find thoughtful, biblical grounding for their faith. We want students to be real, to be loved well, and to be continually shaped into young men and women who know Jesus, love His church, and represent Christ to the real world they live in.

Our Schedule:

Sunday Mornings:

Our youth group joins the wider church for worship services each Sunday at 10:00 am. We then head to youth group together for class time.

TNT Gatherings:

We are currently on a once-a-month TNT (teen nights together) schedule. On these Sunday nights the youth group gets together for some fun games, a short devotional and dinner from 5pm-7pm at the church building. On special occasions, we switch it up and decide to do dinner and a movie, a BBQ and swimming at one of our member’s homes, or enjoy and outing elsewhere.

CAN I ASK THAT?

Each summer we hold a HIGH SCHOOL 5-6-week apologetics class for our youth. They enjoy deep conversations, wrestle with hard questions of faith and enjoy dinner together. Having doubts is not an enemy of faith; silently struggling with them alone is.

EVENTS:

Our youth group holds some fun and exciting events year-round. Check out our annual calendar below!
