In Mark 5:35-43, Jesus encounters a hopeless situation. Jairus, the leading elder of the synagogue, asked Jesus to come lay hands on his dying little girl. But before they can reach Jairus’s home, they receive the news that the girl has died. In that moment when Jairus’s worst fears seem to have come true, Jesus speaks, “Don’t fear, just believe.” How much are we willing to listen to these words today? Jason Locke addresses that question in today’s sermon.
