Loneliness is an unfortunate byproduct both of our own mistakes and of systemic forces. The psalmist in Ps 41 knew this all too well. His own mistakes had isolated him, but his enemies exacerbated his isolation by wishing for his total collapse. Instead of settling for such a tragic state, scripture invites us to imagine a world framed by God’s wisdom and mercy — the two forces that keep us connected and in a state of blessing. Jason Locke explores this truth in today’s message.
